Born in Ontario, I started my northern- western migration in my twenties, living and adventuring in northern Ontario, Alberta, Northwest Territories, British Columbia and Yukon. I now live and explore my art on the Sunshine Coast of BC.

I am a self taught Canadian painter deeply connected to nature and the land be it remote wilderness, high Arctic, or dense urban.  Self- taught, I continue to benefit from workshops, mentoring and the influence of talented North American artists. The arts beckoned to me early yet I took different roads, with many life adventures. All of this now influences my art which has been my primary focus since 2016.

My approach to painting is multifaceted in subject and medium and I am always exploring. I paint primarily in acrylic and watercolour while also exploring in oil, multi medium, and oil and cold wax.

In creating my art I draw on memories of natural abstraction, patterns, tensions and fragility and the importance of nature and environment with people and place.
