My paintings are about colour, texture and line. Using oil paint and cold wax, a spatula and screw driver I build up multiple layers and then scratch back to previous colours. My inspiration comes from our rugged coastal community, the old work boats, the people and the landscape.

In this fuzzy time of real/virtual living reality can be pushed toward the unknown and abstraction can feel real.

My mantra is don’t be too pretty and don’t answer all the questions…. oh, and have fun!
